FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I have heard many good things about acupuncture, but I was always afraid of needles being stuck in my body. Can I catch anything from this?

Micro-Point Stimulation (MPS) has proven to be a safe method of relieving pain and is a Completely Non-Invasive Treatment – No Needles - hence, no cross contamination. MPS is a very effective treatment for a wide array of conditions, and as with all alternative therapies, all patients have different experiences.

What to expect from MPS?

Scar Repolarization - Releasing Fascia

& Emotions

A typical scar is positively polarized on both sides.

On the outside, Lead (Pb+) and Iron (Fe+) are positively charged and Potassium (K+) and Magnesium (Mg+), the healing agents, cannot reach the scar due to polarity issues. Reversing the polarity of the scar topically can change the tissue by permitting healing agents to reach the scar itself.

       (Fe+)   (Pb+)

                     +    +     +     +     +     +     +     +     +

       +   ______________________________  +

                      +     +     +     +     +     +     +     +    +

         (K+)                          (Mg+)

APPLYING NEGATIVE (-) polarity to BOTH SIDES of scar Repolarizes the positive polarity tissue, and changes the tissue to negative polarity.

PHYSICAL SCARRING affects the ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) and fascia and the interrelationship between the two. It can adversely affect the energetic flows and the acupuncture meridians, and ultimately, the organs.

SCARRING DEPOLARIZES the local tissue, pulling the fascia into the center of the scar, and can produce adverse effects far removed from the physical location of the scar – back, shoulder, knee and abdominal pain to name a very few.

Following repolarization the scar tissue becomes softer and more supple giving the patient a feeling of freeness and more fluidity and sensitivity.

Produces results in minutes what other pain management therapies cannot achieve in months if ever.

All patients have different experiences following MPS.

MPS has been used on scars around the Breasts, Tummy Tuck, Face Lifts, C-Sections and all scars of any age. Following EA, it has been noted that those patients with numbness, tingling, and / or a lack

of feeling experience an increase in sensations and sensitivity and less tightness. This has additional effects far removed from the scar.

What can I expect following my Electronic Acupuncture Session?

No matter how old the scar or painful your condition, MPS can work to soften the tissue for a more fluid, supple, non-pulling movement of the surrounding area. Most patients have an immediate feeling of a more improved range of motion, comfort and softness to tissue and surrounding areas following the first treatment.

How long will each treatment last?

The first treatment usually last the longest – an intake, pictures and introduction to what to expect takes place. This takes between 45 – 70 minutes. Treatment sessions thereafter typically last 30 to 60 minutes per visit.

How many visits will I need?

Standard visits range between 3 – 6 visits for optimal outcomes. For some treatments it might be recommended additional visits for follow up treatment for better long term results.

Is MPS covered by Insurance?

MPS is FDA approved, unfortunately, MPS is not covered under insurance.

What is the success rate of using Electronic Acupuncture?

I accomplish in a few sessions what in the past would have taken me weeks, or months – if ever – to alleviate pain and improve movement, leaving scars feeling more supple with improved sensitivity.

Is the treatment painful?

How do I feel after?

The stimulation triggers the production of the body's own morphine- like hormones. Depending on the stimulation point you may feel nothing, on other points you may feel some tingling which may spread down the body. Sometimes the feeling can be like that of a bee sting or that too much pressure is being applied by the probe which is not the case. This is an indication that the points are in need of stimulation. Occasionally, small red marks (an analgesic reaction) can be seen on your skin where the stimulation was applied. This disappears after a few minutes.

I have a pace maker, what kind of electrical power supply is used? Can this cause any danger?

A 9 Volt battery is used as power supply which produces a direct current. It has been used on patients with pacemakers without any negative side effects to the pacemaker, and is FDA approved. (See Videos on Website). As with many therapies dealing with a pacemaker, please consult your physician before engaging in any treatment.
